Techniques I use:

Person-Centered - I appreciate clients for who they are as individuals, work to understand my clients’ feelings/emotions/actions, and value openness and honesty between the counselor and client

Dialectical Behavior Therapy - I teach clients DBT skills to help communicate and cope with thoughts, feelings, and negative coping skills

Cognitive Behavior Therapy - I help clients examine their thoughts and beliefs and how they impact their lives

Mindfulness - I integrate skills such as grounding, meditation, breathing techniques, and even yoga to help clients be in the present moment

Positive psychology - I aid clients in finding what makes their life enjoyable and how the can thrive and not just survive

Health at Every Size Practitioner - I believe all bodies are unique and deserve respect regardless of size, shape, or weight. I will not support weight loss as a goal and believe all people deserve the same care and support that is not discriminatory based on body size.
